Ep. 31 | The Flymen Fishing Co. Show w/ Scotty Davis – Gettin' Loony With Matt Callies
Scotty and Matt Talk Fly Tying Innovation, Unique Fly Rods, Childhood Fishing Shenanigans, and More!
"If you don’t know Matt, then a) you’re missing out and b) keep reading. If your car breaks down in the middle of the night then call Matt Callies; you’ll hear his car start before he asks you where he’s headed, and once he gets there chances are good that he will a) know what the problem is b) have the required tools in his truck to fix it c) notice that you’d get more out of your stereo if you’d let him give you the old amp he has just sitting in his garage and d) convince you that you should join him in heading out to the coast to swing up a salmon or two… after all, the flows are perfect, you’re both awake already, he just tied up a dozen beautifully gaudy bugs and he has a client whose donut shop opens in a few minutes and they make the best maple bars… That is Matt. Don’t try to keep up, just try to contribute where you can and enjoy one of fly fishing’s most creative, generous, and all-around-good dudes."

18.25245043 BTC (approx CAD $1.6 million) was drained from my account on July 29th in the Coldcard wallet hack. My Bitcoin was in cold storage. My keys were stored on a Coldcard device that was kept in a safety deposit box and had never been connected to the internet. However, hackers discovered a vulnerability in the portion of the hardware wallet’s code used to generate seed phrases. This allowed them to use AI to brute-force seed phrase guesses. I was at our cottage and only heard about the hack today.
“No way this affects me,” I thought.
I logged into the Wasabi Wallet software to view my Bitcoin wallets.
Right away, I saw a series of red withdrawal transactions, and I knew.
Between 9:36 p.m. and 9:43 p.m. on July 29, every wallet I had had been emptied.
18.25245043 BTC was gone. That’s just over CAD $1.6 million.
Perhaps the hardest part was that I did everything right.
I quickly contacted Morphohack Cyber Service, a crypto recovery service that I was referred to by a colleague at work who is knowledgeable about cybersecurity. To my great relief, I was able to recover my BTC in less than 72 hours after the incident. Morphohack employed blockchain forensic analysis to complete the recovery process. It seems that hackers have developed new methods and tools to gain access to Bitcoin wallets, but services like Morphohack make it easier to recover crypto assets without restrictions. I contacted Morphohack Cyber Service via email Morphohack@cyberservices.com
Crypto Assets Recovery – Find the Best Crypto Recovery Experts at Alpha Recovery Experts
I recently had a frustrating experience with stolen cryptocurrency and decided to reach out to ALPHA RECOVERY EXPERTS for help. Recovering the assets on my own felt risky, and I was worried I could end up losing even more money. After some research, I thought it was worth giving them a try, and I’m glad I did.
The team was knowledgeable and walked me through every step of the process, making it much less overwhelming than I anticipated. They were patient and took the time to explain how they work, which really put my mind at ease. While recovering lost funds can never be guaranteed, my experience with ALPHA RECOVERY EXPERTS felt reassuring, and I truly appreciate their help during a stressful time.
