Larry wears work boots for his day job, but has never stopped dreaming of the next place he’ll visit to explore with a fly rod in hand. He has an amazing wife, incredible son, and faithful lab for a family and enjoys traveling with them whenever and wherever they can.

18.25245043 BTC (approx CAD $1.6 million) was drained from my account on July 29th in the Coldcard wallet hack. My Bitcoin was in cold storage. My keys were stored on a Coldcard device that was kept in a safety deposit box and had never been connected to the internet. I logged into the Wasabi Wallet software to view my Bitcoin wallets.
Right away, I saw a series of red withdrawal transactions, and I knew.
Between 9:36 p.m. and 9:43 p.m. on July 29, every wallet I had had been emptied.

Perhaps the hardest part was that I did everything right.
