Captain Matt Schliske is a fly fishing guide and custom bamboo rod maker. Born in Wyoming, his grandfather and great grandfather were Cowboy State trout fishing cattle ranchers. A bamboo fly rod fanatic, in 2005 Schliske started his custom bamboo fly rod company and has made quality bamboo fly rods by hand for anglers all over the globe ever since.

Schliske founded Pig Farm Ink in 2012 with friends Jay Johnson, Mark Brown, and Chip Guthrie, with the motto of "Fly Fishing Saves Lives."

What in the world is Pig Farm Ink? Listen to the episode to find out how they work in crazy ways to bring new people into the fly fishing community!

Schliske has traveled the country with the Fly Fishing Film Tour, meeting many passionate anglers and spreading the good word of fly fishing along the way. In 2014, he moved to Charleston, South Carolina, a town he fell in love with on the film tour. He spent three years on the coast getting his Captains license, fly fishing and guiding for redfish, and working at Lowcountry Fly Shop with show host Scotty D! He now splits his time between South Carolina, Wyoming, and Nevada.
